Rural electrification schemes

UEDCL is now working on finishing with extended the assigned rural electrification schemes, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development through the Rural Electrification Agency, and this effort has led to expansion of the leased asset base and the grid extension to the rural areas in Uganda.

Further accomplishment in the drive to complete rural electrification schemes has seen numerous schemes completed and commissioned, thereby adding over 126 Km Medium Voltage Lines, 110Km of Low Voltage Lines and 54 Distribution transformers to UEDCL’s Network assets.
